Here is what we collect, where it goes, and how to get out of it. It is short because there is not much to say.
This covers groundmounts.com and the design tool at groundmounts-app.vercel.app, which is what you use on our quote page. We are a Texas business and this site is meant for visitors in the United States.
Meta Pixel loads on every page. It records a page view, and it records a few extra events when you answer the land questions or use the design tool. Meta sets its own cookies to do that.
The email box in the footer. If you type an address and press Subscribe, we keep the address, the time and your time zone in a spreadsheet we run.
There are no accounts and no logins on this site.
The land quiz on this site sets one cookie for 30 minutes if the answers rule out a ground mount, so we can send you to the right page. It holds nothing about you.
Your property location: the address you type and the spot you mark on the map.
Your electricity usage, typed in or read from a photo of your bill.
The photo is read by an AI service from Anthropic. It pulls your usage, rate, and what you paid, and nothing else. We do not keep the photo.
The array you design.
On the last step, your name, email, phone number and the time you would like a call.
If you stop before that last step, we save your progress so a resume link works. That saved copy has no name, email or phone in it.
If you choose Finish later, we save the email you typed so we can send you the link.
The tool uses PostHog for analytics and session replay, so we can see where people get stuck. Replays mask what you type into forms, including the address you confirm. The list of address matches shown while you search is not masked.
Airtable holds the lead record. Upstash Redis holds a short-term copy for the cache and the resume link.
Resend sends the quote email and our notifications.
Mapbox draws the map and turns your address into coordinates.
NREL PVWatts and USDA SSURGO get your property location, so we can pull the sun and soil data for it.
Meta gets the pixel events, for ad measurement and audiences on Facebook and Instagram.
Vercel hosts both the site and the tool, and its analytics measure page speed and traffic. A satellite image of your design is saved so we can review it with you.
The footer email goes to a spreadsheet we run, and nowhere else.
Three things. To produce your quote. To contact you about it. To make the tool better. That is the whole list.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone except the vendors named above, and only so the service runs.
If you want out, or you want your record deleted, email bert@groundmounts.com and say so. We will do it.
To turn off the pixel, use your Meta ad settings.
Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
